Here’s A Band Update

For all those who have been asking where we’ve been and what we’re up to these days;
The Kings CastleA Bit of KR History and Evolution:

2019 has had us back to performing regularly once again. Surf Rodeo, Vet-Traxx Festival, and Avo-Fest, were a few of the many highlights.
We were also super excited to experience the win of a very prestigious Award for:
Ventura County’s Artist of the Year in 2019
– after having been nominated in the Best Live Band and Best Rock categories. THANK YOU to All for that amazing honor.
Soon, we hope to begin our transition to a new website design for KINGS REVENGE at

2018 was a really productive year and saw the release of our 1st Album:
“Black the Skies”
Plus a Win of Ventura County’s Album of the Year.
Thanks so much to all the fans who downloaded, purchased, streamed, listened, voted and made that award possible.
dditionally we sincerely thank you for nominating us in the Best Live Band, Best Rock, and Album of the Year categories. The release of our (5-long song) EP, along with a lot of dedicated time & energy to/in support of various community causes and charity events, all of which kept us very busy in 2018.

2017 was also a fun year
and gave us our first win for Best Live Band, while our Frontman TC was awarded Ventura County’s Best Male -Vocalist/Performer.

2016 was Out with Old and in with a much more fitting name.
2016 was a tough year; as It became abundantly clear we needed to change our original band name, so as not to be continually confused with another band who wasn’t even close to the same quality/caliber of music as had prided ourselves in consistently delivering.
There had been a cover only band out of Camarillo that also called themselves King’s Ransom. Unfortunately, their live shows under that name had seriously begun to tarnish our solid and exceptional musical reputation as people often got the two bands confused.
The misrepresentations went even deeper; as they tried to book shows as us, and almost seemingly out of sheer spite, had hijacked the Kings Ransom by having it trademarked immediately after we had worked so hard to win the 2015 Music Award for Best Rock Band of Ventura County.

Although it felt overwhelming having to deal with all that drama at the time, It turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to Our Band.
It helped move us all forward into a much more creative and positive direction for re-working our live lineup; writing, recording, & now performing a bunch of new original music and adding some great new covers to our sets.

In 2017 We Were Super Stoked to Have Welcomed Our New Drummer: Kyle Cabrera
is not only an Amazing Talent, but can truly handle all the pressure, pace, and intensity, that live stage performances continually demand. With Kyle Onboardwe were able to write a bunch of new Original music and expand our availability.
On Sunday September 10th 2017 at Levity Live in the Oxnard Collection; Kyle helped us lay down solid and heavy beats on stage, for the 2017 Ventura County Music Awards.
Not only did we take home the award for (Best Live Band in Ventura County) We also got the thrill of performing live with World Renowned Bassist John Moyer from Disturbed, It was a true honor and memory that will definitely last us a lifetime.

Once Again, Our Sincerest Thanks to You (OUR FANS- Families- & Music Venues) for being continually supportive and sticking with us through the lineup and name changes over the years.

Without Each of You there could/would be no Kings Revenge and no Live Music. We truly look forward to seeing each of you at a show &/or festival soon!

Be sure to check in from time to time and check out our event  calendar, where you can find regular updates on our gig/ show/ and festival listings.
We will be performing the original tunes off our Album, Plus some New covers and of course All the Favorites requested. So catch us at a venue or event near you.
